Buena Vista

Buena Vista is an awesome park. It has five features spread over approximately 1/2 mile. It has a path the full length of the park for scouting, or you can run the park, then walk or drive back to the spot(s) where you want to spend your time.

The top hole is excellent/worth-a-drive for advanced and expert boaters and almost always runs from sometime in May through mid August, at levels all the way from 600 to 3,600 CFS.

The staircase wave is good for beginners wanting to learn to surf at levels up to about 1,300. Intermediates wanting to surf and spin may find it fun up to perhaps 3,000.

The pocket hole was reconstructed over the winter of 2015/2016. It is now a small surf and spin wave, good at levels up to at least 2,600.

The LoDo Hole, or competition hole Is good or excellent/worth-a-drive for all levels of boaters up to about 1,400. From1,400 to 2,000 it’s excellent/worth-a-drive for advanced and expert boaters.

As of 2017, the LoDo Wave is in disrepair.
