Golden

Being close to Denver, the Golden water park is probably the most used park in the state. On warm summer days the hole becomes unusable due to the high number of tubers and swimmers. It has several waves and holes spread over approximately 1/3 mile.

Above 300 the hole at the top of the park is good for pretty much any level of boater. Expert boaters will be able to throw many advanced hole tricks at any level above 300 CFS and they will be able to throw advanced wave tricks above 900. It is shallow, but still possible to loop between 300 and 600. It gets deeper for looping above 600.

Perhaps 50 yards down is a smaller hole on river left which is good for beginners and those wanting to surf and spin from maybe 500 cfs and up.

Another 50 yards down, near the statue of a kayaker is a big drop which is pretty useless for kayakers.

For the next 1/4 mile there are a series of three or four new or redesigned waves which might be good for those wanting to surf and spin.
