This feature is at the bottom of the Gore Canyon river run.
The info was contributed by Colorado local Jon Leyba. 1100 cfs Wave/hole on river right. Not a very usable feature, can't really surf or do much on it. Difficult to get on foam pile, not very deep, and on the flushier side of things. 1100 cfs Hole on river left. Good feature, would not say it is worth the drive unless everything else is not running, especially with BV and Salida having excellent features. Nice park and play at the bottom of Gore Canyon so would be good idea to play after some creek/river running action. Not very beginner friendly. Good for intermediate and advance boaters looking to improve on holes. Not very powerful for experts and not that retentive. Surfers left is a friendly spot to plug pretty much directly from eddy and fairly retentive, great spot to work on cartwheels or loops. Center can be flushy when attempting cartwheels or loops. |
